Zach Woods, LMT

My name is Zachary Woods. I am very excited to be a new member of the Watershed Wellness team!

My massage journey began in 2016 when my soon to be wife and I took a trip to Thailand for 20 days. There I received some amazing Thai massage and really found an interest in the craft of massage. When we returned to the US, I began researching and learning about massage on my own. Finally, in 2019, I decided to officially enter massage school.

I got my foundational massage training at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, which is one of the oldest massage schools in Oregon. There I learned about the history of massage, foundational theory of how massage works, anatomy & physiology & the various techniques that I’d need to get my career started.

After school, I worked at Kearns Chiropractic Clinic in McMinnville. This is where I really began to hone my craft and utilize all the skills I learned in school. I employed a variety of different styles of massage and techniques to create a unique healing experience for my clients. Some of my most used styles are Swedish massage, Neuromuscular Therapy and Deep Tissue massage. I also have some training in Craniosacral Therapy and reflexology – I love to incorporating these modalities into my sessions when appropriate.

I am a huge advocate for self care and take regular time to practice yoga, strength training, meditation and martial arts. When I am not giving massage I am spending time with my wife and young daughter. I love being outside, hiking, fishing, playing guitar, gardening, kayaking & cooking with my family.

I am so excited to be a part of the Watershed Wellness community and the chance to use my skills to enhance the wellbeing of the North Coast community!
