I’ve been a massage therapist for nearly ten years. During that time, I’ve worked hard to learn and explore new techniques to meet each client’s specific needs. I love to nerd out about the body and enjoy helping people figure out how to best support both their muscular and nervous systems.
I am also very passionate about pain management. Too often, people feel that there’s nothing that can be done about their pain. Massage has been a beautiful tool for me to help people with a variety of complaints – from chronic issues such as fibromyalgia to those recovering from injuries or surgeries – achieve a better quality of life.
I enjoy the challenge of trying to figure out how to best support the body, especially if it means digging deeper into my understanding of the structures, or asking for technique assistance from other practitioners who have different strengths than me.
Looking forward, my goals are to expand my craniosacral skills, learn more about pelvic floor work to better support clients in the perinatal field, and continue learning how the various body systems interact so I can provide the best bodywork possible.
I’ve lived most of my life in Texas, so moving to Astoria has been a delightful change in both climate and community. I’m very much enjoying the cooler weather that allows me to actually participate in outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking.
I am deeply invested in providing massage for the LGBTQIA+ community. It is so special for me to be able in a small way to provide a safe space where each individual can exist in their body and feel seen for who they are.
