My journey with natural medicine started many years ago when I began my own search for restoring my health. It was one day after an acupuncture treatment that I realized that this was the kind of medicine that I wanted to practice, that I could stand 100% behind and continue to learn and practice for the rest of my life.

I believe in the body’s innate intelligence to heal and repair itself.

East Asian medicine modalities, like acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, help support the body and aid its healing process. After working 15 years as a nurse, I am grateful to now align with and practice Classical Chinese Medicine here at Watershed Wellness and help bring this alternative form of medicine to the community. Furthermore, I’m thrilled to be apprenticing with Eric Grey, LAc in 2024 to continue building and expanding my knowledge and experience with acupuncture, Chinese herbalism and Classical Chinese formulas.

I attended NUNM’s Classical Chinese Medicine doctoral program because it emphasizes the importance of the foundational roots of Chinese medicine. The curriculum integrates the history of the ancient Chinese culture, its philosophy and fundamental ways of viewing the world, as well as teaching students how to read and translate the classical medical texts. It was here that I learned that Chinese medicine treats the root of disease, as well as the symptoms, while supporting the body’s evolutionary intelligence in restoring and healing itself. Chinese herbs also support this process and can be seen as an extracted and potent food grade equivalent in helping the body perform its natural functions.

I practice a variety of acupuncture styles and techniques that range from gentle, non-insertive Japanese needling techniques to classic needling techniques, to Master Tung’s acupuncture that is especially good for treating pain.

Other methods that I offer are warming moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and gentle hands on methods for helping relax the body and open the acupuncture channel system. Whatever the reason that brings you here, whether it is chronic stress, anxiety, pain, or other, I look forward to meeting you and learning how I can best help support you and your body in finding the way towards healing and wholeness.

Outside of the clinic, I love spending time in nature hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, walking on the beach, rock hounding, exploring the community, listening to music, reading, and dabbling in different creative art experiments. I feel passionately about saving the oceans and protecting wildlife/animal health and welfare, and wish to do more in helping these causes as well.
