We accept and bill in house all motor vehicle (MVA) and personal injury (PIP) cases, as well as the primary health insurance plans listed below. If we are not on the preferred provider list for your insurance we are also happy to have you pay cash at time of service for your appointment and provide you with a superbill you may submit on your own to your insurance company.
We can also bill your insurance as out-of-network / non-preferred providers if your insurance allows this. Usually, this will mean a larger copay or coinsurance for you. Contact us if you have questions.
Insurance billing is complex!
If you elect to use medical insurance for your treatment, we will provide you with more information to ensure you understand the process as much as possible. We try to keep our information updated and accurate, but you must do your research – we are not liable for your failure to understand your insurance benefits or manage them appropriately. Your insurance company is the best source of information about what will be covered and under what circumstances.
Do you need a prescription?
- All worker’s compensation claims need a referral / prescription – please contact us if you are wanting to come to WW with a worker’s compensation claim.
- Acupuncturists do not need a MD’s prescription in order to bill your insurance, except in the case of Triwest / Trivity / VA claims.
- Naturopathic Doctors do not need a MD’s prescription to bill your insurance, except in the case of Triwest / Trivity / VA claims.
- Massage therapy appointments may need a prescription, depending on the situation – contact us for more details.
Important exclusions
- We do not bill Aetna, Cigna, or HealthNet/ASH insurance.
- We do not bill Care Oregon / OHP.
- MEDICARE WILL NOT COVER NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE, ACUPUNCTURE OR MASSAGE THERAPY AT OUR FACILITY. We are sorry this is the case, but it is the case! If you strongly believe you have coverage, please call to discuss it with us prior to scheduling so we can make sure there are no unwelcome surprises.
- Herbal formulas and supplements are not covered by insurance, except some health savings accounts.
- Esthetics services are not covered by insurance.
- We do not bill insurance for community acupuncture.
