George Barp has been a life-long woodworker. He started working with this medium while in high school in Wyoming. He became a high school shop teacher in Nebraska in the 70's and owned his own business, Barp Construction, as a general contractor for 40 years. After he retired in 2013, he purchased a lathe and it's been nothing but exploring his artistry since then.

Many of his bowls are made out of Box Elder, as it's a wood common to Western Nebraska where George still resides. He generously gifted us several bowls that you've been enjoying in the treatment rooms for the last few years.

He's delighted to be able to share his love for this craft with us here at Watershed Wellness.
